This is an intricate bowl measuring 16 3/8” wide x 2 ¼” deep with 5 layers of glass elements.  Complicated creation techniques unique to the artist were utilized to achieve the collapsing effect of the various elements while still maintaining the visual integrity.  Also note on the backlit pictures the many clear holes in the multi-colored background.  These represent the light of stars and were achieved by purposely creating small bubbles and utilizing a reverse firing to pull small amounts of clear glass through the bubble paths.
