This starling 9 lb. bowl is 15 5/8” wide x 2 ¼” deep and 3/8'"-1/2" thick.  It contains 8 layers of glass and required 7 firings in the kiln.  The results are a deeply 3 dimensional extravaganza with dozens of different shimmering dichroic elements and many subtleties that you will continue to discover every time you view it.  The edges are slightly uneven with hints of roughness in keeping with the theme of the expanding birth of a new universe.
